Morocco - Todra Gorge

We invited our new friend for a dinner as he didn't want any pay for his guidance!

The end of the Todra Gorge. Unfortunatelly my camera doesn't show how amazing, spectacular it looks.

Some take advantage of tourists. This women is waiting to pose for photos and to be paid for it:) Still picturesque.

Some take advantage of them. It is one of the favourite places of climbers from all world.

Again on the route. Gorgeous rocks everywhere.

A view from the house terrace.

The smallest of the family.

A living-room where guests are invited. It was modest, but very clean.

In this room they dry their crops.

This is how they cook their food.

And its citizens who invited us, of course, for a glass of mint tee and bread.

A village met on our way.

We met many women doing their washing at river banks. Very hard life.

This very handsome boy offered his help to show us the best way, off the beaten track, to the end of the gorge. He spent the whole day with us.

Beautiful landscapes along the river.

Another man, met on our way to the gorge. Offered us cigarettes, tee and invitied us home for lunch.

Later he ... climbed a very high palm tree in less than 10 seconds and started to hurl fresh date at us. We got the whole bag of this very sweet and tasty fruits.

He showed us ruins of the old city which existed near the village where he is living now.

Todra Gorge is a spectacular place situated on the remote east side of the High Atlas Mountains. Todra and Dades River have carved here cliff-sided canyons. It looks awesome, but what really amazed us where people. They were so open, nice, smiling, modest, calm. Everybody invited us home for tee or kus-kus. First we met this men with a very old face.
